John,
The Supreme Court just overturned Roe v. Wade.
This rollback will have dire consequences, especially for Black, brown, and low-income people who are already facing barriers to reproductive care before this decision.
This is a devastating day for our country but this is also the moment we fight back. As an advocate for reproductive freedom, I fully support the codification of Roe v. Wade on the federal level — and it’s going to take a collective effort to ensure we elect pro-choice candidates who will make this a reality.
As an advocate for a person’s right to choose, I’m asking you to please consider volunteering for my campaign so we can have more pro-choice women in Congress.
No one should have to travel miles, let alone across state lines, just for basic care but the Supreme Court’s decision has left people with no other choice. Illinois is poised to become one of the few states that will protect a person’s right to choose on the state level — I am honored to have advocated for this piece of legislation that has made our state a safe haven for reproductive rights.
Each and every volunteer is vital for our grassroots campaign in the fight for reproductive freedom, not only in Illinois but throughout the country. We need more pro-choice women in Congress right now – help in this effort and sign up to volunteer today.
In solidarity,
Jacqui Collins
