Updates on mobile phone use
From Friday 25 March rules in The Highway Code came into force making any hand-held use of a mobile phone while driving illegal, except in limited circumstances. See the updates here.

Engineering works
Northern: Engineering works are planned on 2 and 3 July affecting Leeds - Sheffield - Nottingham routes. Buses will replace the journey between Sheffield - Nottingham. Please check Northern's website for service information.

Monday 6 June - Friday 29 July: University Boulevard / Woodside Road Lane closure from Sports Ground for 58m onto Woodside Road for gas mains replacement works
Saturday 11 June - Sunday 3 July: Junction of London Road & Queens Road Lane closure for Western Power Distribution works. Weekend works only; 24 hours.
Wednesday 22 June - Monday 27 June: Plots 1 & 2 Land at Oakington Close Three-way lights for Cadent Gas works
Wednesday 22 June - Tuesday 28 June: Beeston Road outside 46 Contraflow for emergency Cadent Gas works
Wednesday 22 June - Friday 17 July: Junction of Trowell Road / Glaisdale Drive Four-way lights for full refurbishment of traffic signals
Wednesday 22 June - Monday 5 September: Wollaton Street outside 195 to 185 Off-peak lane closure for loading and deliveries to development works

Thursday 30 June from 7pm-until works complete: A612 Daleside Road between Trent Lane and Poulton Drive inbound only Lane closure to allow works to manhole in the road.

Friday 23 July 2021 - Friday 22 July 2022: High Cross Street (city centre) Road closure between Heathcoat Street and Western Street due to demolition works.
Monday 9 May 2022 - 31 March 2023: Hucknall Road Lane closures for the construction of new cycle route between Kersall Drive & Bestwood Road
Monday 21 February 2022 - Wednesday 31 August 2022: Silverdale roundabout Lane closures on Silverdale roundabout and approaches from the A52 and A453 for National Highways junction improvements.
