Dear John,

The decision by the Supreme Court to overturn Roe vs. Wade is nothing short of an assault on women, their families, and their lives.

It marks a distressing turning point that will embolden anti-abortion groups across the world, including here in the UK, to push for restrictions to abortion access. Women’s rights are disappearing in front of our eyes – the time to act is now.

The UK government cannot sit in silence and watch as women's rights are rolled-back.

We are calling on the UK government to take a stand, condemn the this abhorrent breach of human rights, and commit to the protection of funding for reproductive health and rights programmes globally.
TAKE ACTION ([link removed])

There are 26 states who are certain or likely to severely restrict or ban abortion in the wake of this ruling. It’s estimated that 33.6 million reproductive-age women live in states now at risk of losing access to abortion. Many women who live in these states will be unable to travel for abortion care and it will be poorer women who feel the most direct impact of restrictive abortion laws.

Join us in urging the UK government to send a clear signal on the international stage that removing these women’s access to swift, safe abortion services is utterly contemptible and has absolutely no place in a society that calls itself civilised in the 21st Century.

Add your name to the open letter now and share the campaign to help us build the UK’s biggest pro-choice movement.
TAKE ACTION ([link removed])

Now, more than ever, we need to take a stand.

Thank you, as always, for your support.

Best wishes,

BPAS
