John,
You’ve probably heard the bad news: the Supreme Court has just thrown out a half-century of precedent and overturned Roe v. Wade.
Let’s be clear: this decision endangers lives, tramples the human right to bodily autonomy, and is completely out of touch with how the majority of Americans feel about abortion.
Millions of Americans across the country have just lost their right to make their own choices about their reproductive health, including when or whether they want to start a family.
This is why, now more than ever, we must come together to protect reproductive health care and freedom, including access to abortion, at the federal level.
John, this is a sad day, but know this: I am wholly committed to restoring and defending reproductive rights.
In Congress, I pledge to support legislation to codify Roe v. Wade into law.
The right to control one’s own body is foundational to liberty, and I pledge to always take a stand and defend that right against anyone seeking to take it away.
John, we cannot and will not ever go back.
Take care,
Josh Riley
