The end of Roe has been clear for months, even years. But still, knowing it was coming doesn’t lessen the rage and pain of this day.
That six Supreme Court justices – three of whom were nominated by a twice-impeached, two-time popular vote loser – would strip millions of Americans of their fundamental reproductive freedom is grotesque. That they would so easily discard the ideals of gender equity, bodily autonomy, and basic individual freedom should horrify and appall everyone.
The time to act is now! We need you to take action to stand up for abortion rights. Can you join us and other reproductive rights groups tonight at 5pm local time to rally for abortion rights and access for everyone?
Population Connection Action Fund, along with many partner organizations, is calling on our supporters across the country to show up to defend abortion rights. Together we will send a strong message that abortion access must be legally protected. We won't go back! A person’s ability to determine whether to continue or end a pregnancy is a fundamental human right. And easy access to safe and legal abortion is essential to improving people’s health and lives.
Roe is gone because a handful of senators won close elections in key states. We simply can’t let such results happen again.
The actions you take matter! You’ve always fought with us to expand access to reproductive healthcare for all. We have to fight NOW to show that the decision to overturn Roe is not acceptable. We are taking to the streets to fight for abortion rights for all.
