Dear John,

To put an end to the injustice of hunger, we must acknowledge that racism, sexism, low wages, and job instability, to name a few, play key roles in why people experience hunger. We believe that creating a food secure region requires creativity, collaborative partners, and courage to address these large systemic challenges. Unless we are committed to addressing the root causes of food insecurity, we will never truly be able to end hunger.

As our fiscal year comes to a close and we begin another, we are committed to continuing the work we've been doing for the past 26 years, but we are also committed to doing more! Guided by our new strategic plan, we will address the root cause of hunger, and we believe we can build a community where all people have the food they need to live healthy lives.
