John, This is a dark day in our country’s history. In overturning Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court just stripped millions of Americans of their constitutional right to choose. And John, I hate to say it, but this may only be the beginning. If Madison Gesiotto Gilbert and the Republican Party have their way, reproductive freedoms will continue to be under attack.
Bottom line: Access to reproductive healthcare and racial justice go hand-in-hand, and today’s decision will disproportionately affect women of color, particularly Black women. It’s more crucial than ever that we are sending pro-choice champions to Congress who will fight to codify Roe. Because Northeast Ohioans deserve a Congresswoman who will stand up for their reproductive freedoms, not tear them down. So, John, these are the stakes in this election: Some of our most fundamental rights hang in the balance. We can't afford a single misstep between now and Election Day.
