Hey John,

By now you’ve probably already heard the news, but Roe v Wade has officially
been overturned by the US Supreme Court.

Today is an incredibly sad day, and a monumental step backwards when it comes
to women’s rights.

What does this ruling mean?

Thankfully, Montana doesn’t have trigger laws on the books, which means no
extreme anti-abortion laws will immediately go into effect. The bad news,
however, is thatGovernor Greg Gianforte has stated multiple times that he’s
prepared to call a special session to restrict the rights of women across the
state of Montana.

This is a fight for the future of women in our state. Can you chip in to make
sure we have the resources to fight back?

Even if they don’t do it now, if they’re able to win a supermajority this
fall, the Montana GOP will pass even more restrictive abortion bans that will
criminalize even the simplest pieces of a woman’s reproductive rights,such as
birth control.

We can’t let them take away our bodily autonomy.

So please, chip in to the Montana Democratic Party and help us fight back
against our oppressive and extreme anti-choice governor.
