John, this is it. The day we’ve been dreading since the leaked decision is here. The Supreme Court has unraveled decades of precedent and overturned Roe v. Wade.

John, I want to make something crystal clear: this is not a trivial matter. This is a truly devastating decision. Across the country, thousands of folks have lost access to life-saving abortion care and, with it, their right to bodily autonomy.

We won’t let the GOP intimidate us into silence. And we won’t go back. We’ll never go back. That is why I proudly co-sponsored legislation in the State Senate two weeks ago to codify Roe into law here in North Carolina. But, I know this is only one step. We must codify Roe on the federal level and protect reproductive rights once and for all.

People’s lives truly are on the line with this decision. Please be assured, John: I am wholly committed to defending and expanding reproductive rights. I’ve proven it time and again in the State Senate and pledge to be a solid vote in Congress to codify Roe v. Wade into law.
