The Supreme Court just announced their decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health and it’s devastating: The Court has overturned Roe v. Wade with their decision, removing the federally protected right to an abortion. Now, where you live dictates what you can do with your own body.

John, this piece is important: Abortion is still legal here in Minnesota. But now, with this significant decrease in safe, legal abortion care, people of color, people in rural areas, and people without access to resources will be the most impacted by this catastrophic decision.

We knew this outcome was a possibility, but no amount of preparation makes it less gut wrenching. In fact, it’s okay to feel sad or mad or immobilized by fear.

But once you take care of yourself, we need you to take action with us. This decision means our work in 2022 to elect pro-choice women is a necessity. We must elect pro-choice women who will protect AND expand abortion and reproductive rights here in Minnesota for generations to come.
