This Park and Recreation Month, we are bringing attention to how important it is to rise up and support parks and recreation, because every day, park and recreation professionals rise up for their communities in service of equity, climate-readiness, and overall health and well-being.?

Hurst Stars and Stripes
The annual City of Hurst Stars & Stripes event is Friday, July 1, at Hurst Community Park. Come out to enjoy live music, good food, and a beautiful fireworks show! FREE shuttles are available from designated parking at North East Mall.?
4:00 PM - Gates Open 6:00 PM - Big City Outlaws 8:00 PM - Emerald City 9:30 PM - Fireworks Show
Food vendors begin serving at 5:30 p.m.

Play Safe Event: Drowning Prevention
Sunday, July 3 Chisholm Aquatics Center 2200 Norwood Drive 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Daily Pool Admission: $6 Hurst Residents, $12 Non-Residents
Stop by, take a swim, and learn about water safety! We will have CPR practice, life jacket fittings, a lifeguard photo booth, and much more! This event will take place during our regular open swim hours.

Independence Day Holiday Closure
Non-emergency city offices will be closed in observance of the Independence Day holiday Monday, July 4. Trash and recycling are unaffected by this holiday closure.

Hurst City Council Meeting
The next scheduled Hurst City Council meeting is Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 6:30 PM. Meetings are held at Hurst City Hall Council Chambers, 1505 Precinct Line Road.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection
Saturday, July 9 Hurst Service Center 2001 Precinct Line Rd. 8 - 11 a.m.
Bring your household hazardous waste to the Service Center along with an ID and Hurst water bill.
