Just in case you missed our email earlier this week, we wanted to follow up and tell you that Kurt Schlichter — retired Army Colonel, conservative commentator, and best-selling author — will be part of our speaker lineup for the 7th Annual Basque Fry ([link removed]) !

You may know Schlichter from his frequent appearances on national media outlets such as Fox News and NewsMax, or from his work as a guest host on national radio shows for Hugh Hewitt, Seb Gorka, and others. Schlichter is also the Senior Columnist for Townhall, and has been published in the New York Post, the Los Angeles Times, and the Washington Times.

Schlichter has served our country honorably in uniform, and today, he continues to serve the cause of liberty through his incisive analysis on many of our nation’s most pressing issues and challenges. He is the author of the USA Today best-selling book “Militant Normals,” as well as “The 21 Biggest Lies About Donald Trump (and You).” His new book, “We’ll Be Back: The Fall and Rise of America,” will be released by Regnery on July 12, 2022.

He retired as an Army infantry colonel, serving both on active duty and in the Army National Guard during his 26-plus year career. A graduate of the elite Army Airborne School, Schlichter commanded the 1st Squadron, 18th Cavalry Regiment (Reconnaissance-Surveillance-Target Acquisition) and is a veteran of both the Persian Gulf War and Operation Enduring Freedom (Kosovo). It will be a real honor to have this great patriot join us this year!

The Basque Fry will be held on Saturday, August 13 at Corley Ranch in Gardnerville. As we’ve shared with you previously, our speaker lineup also includes U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts.
