Dear John,
I am as upset, saddened and furious as you are. Women losing access to safe abortions devastates their lives on many levels.
This coming election will be the most important in our lifetime in PA. We need to elect Josh Shapiro who will protect a woman’s right to choose. Josh’s opponent Doug Mastriano is Pro-life and does not support abortion under any circumstances- not rape or incest or in the case of the mother’s life.
I have spoken with women who have been abused, one in particular broke my heart. Having been a victim of incest at an early age, she would have committed suicide had a safe abortion not been available to her. She has lived a wonderful life; however, it would have been cut short had Roe v Wade not been the law of the land.
We cannot go backward for any other woman to ever feel suicide is her last resort.
We cannot let this happen in Pennsylvania. My opponent is Pro-Life and will never stand up, as I have, for a woman’s right to choose. The government has no business in these personal decisions.
