Friends, as a doctor, I see patients during some of the most vulnerable moments of their life. The fact is the deeply personal discussion about when and how to start a family should be between a patient and their physician — not the government.

This morning the Supreme Court officially overturned Roe v. Wade and left the decision of abortion rights up to the states. I want to reassure you that California already protects reproductive rights. Many other states, however, will have abortion bans going into effect immediately.

It is also true that Republicans in Congress are looking to ban abortion at the national level if they win the House and Senate in November. This could overturn state protections like we have here in California.

It is critical that we protect the Democratic Majority and elect pro-choice candidates this fall.

I am on the ballot this November against anti-choice Republican Kevin Kiley, who is endorsed by Trump and voted to allow employers to retaliate against employees who use birth control, have abortions, or parent while unmarried.

Friend, the GOP has named me a “TOP TARGET” because they need this seat to pass their abortion ban. Will you help me beat my extremist opponent and go to Congress to protect choice?
