Just minutes ago, the Supreme Court made their ruling official — striking down the landmark precedent set by Roe v. Wade that has protected access to safe and legal abortions for millions of people across our nation over the last half-century.

As Florida’s next attorney general, I will act as a firewall to prevent the enforcement of any abortion ban being enacted here in Florida. Let me be crystal clear: I will never investigate nor prosecute anyone for receiving an abortion nor any health care professional for providing access to this important procedure.

The decision to have an abortion should be made between a patient and their doctor — not in a back alley or motel room, which will result in countless deaths. With the federal government failing to protect us, this fight comes to the states.
