We knew the Supreme Court was going to gut Roe v. Wade — but that doesn’t make the reality of its happening any less infuriating.
In multiple states — draconian trigger laws will go into effect immediately, criminalizing those seeking abortions as well as the healthcare professionals providing them.
It is absolutely URGENT that we push back against this disgusting atrocity and it’s why I’m asking for your help electing Democrats up and down the ballot:
Right now, a bill codifying Roe into federal law is languishing in the Senate. It passed the House and President Biden has pledged to sign it — but cowardly Senate Republicans won’t even let it come to the floor for a vote.
Thirteen states have "trigger laws" instantly banning abortion. In other states, far-right lawmakers are poised to ram through their own abortion bans and Republican governors are eager to sign them.
Electing Democrats is literally our last line of defense in protecting the right for families to make their own healthcare decisions.
