This Week: At A Glance

Monday, WFW PAC endorsed Lori Chavez-DeRemer (OR-05). Chavez-DeRemer will be our sixteenth House candidate endorsement this cycle. She is a small business owner, former mayor, and a dedicated conservative! 

Tuesday, WFW PAC-endorsed candidates Katie Boyd Britt (AL-Sen) and Jen Kiggans (VA-02) collected two big wins in their runoff and primary elections. 

Katie Boyd Britt is on track to become the first woman elected to the Senate from Alabama. We look forward to seeing her make history in November!

Katie shared that "it was a surreal moment" to accept the Republican nomination on Tuesday. 

In VA-02, Jen Kiggans pulled out a great victory in the primary! As a Navy veteran and strong conservative leader, Democrats know she is a real threat, and we look forward to her flipping this seat red. 

Also Tuesday, WFW PAC-endorsed candidate Mayra Flores (TX-34) was sworn into office after flipping this seat in a special election. Her victory made her the first Mexican-born congresswoman in American history!

A Fox News piece out this week highlighted the success WFW Action Fund is seeing this cycle! Wednesday, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley talked about it on-air. Click below to learn more.

Thursday, Rep. Young Kim (CA-40) highlighted the Biden administration's failure to use tools already paid for by the U.S. that would help secure the border. "This is making the border crisis worse and costing taxpayers more money."

Campaign Spotlight

Cassy Garcia (TX-28) was hard at work this week making her way around South Texas. Cassy won her primary in May and is on her way to defeating her Democrat opponent come November. Click here to learn more.

Axios: Supreme Court strikes down New York's concealed carry gun law.

The New York law prevents "law-abiding citizens with ordinary self-defense needs from exercising their right to keep and bear arms in public," Thomas wrote in the 6-3 ruling.

 

The Hill: Kiggans wins GOP primary to face Luria in Virginia. Virginia state Sen. Jen Kiggans (R) is projected to win the Republican primary in the state’s 2nd Congressional District on Tuesday, setting up a matchup against incumbent Rep. Elaine Luria (D-Va.).

 

Fox News: Nancy Mace calls for hearing investigating attacks on crisis pregnancy centers by 'Jane's Revenge,' others. Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., is demanding a hearing to examine a "recent string of domestic extremist attacks" targeted toward crisis pregnancy centers and religious institutions, as the country waits for a decision in a highly anticipated Supreme Court case expected to overturn Roe v. Wade.
