This year, the event will return in-person at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre as we mark the conference’s 10th anniversary. Join us as we tackle the world’s most complex societal issues with world-leading experts, human rights defenders, journalists, policymakers, legal experts and pioneering business leaders. The first day of the conference will focus on the surging threats to media freedom and digital rights, including the escalating onslaught of online abuse targeting journalists, international conflicts intensifying, and the impact of the world’s growing exploration into new digital frontiers such as the Metaverse. The second day addresses the need to build more inclusive and sustainable economies, at a time when billionaire wealth has increased for the few, whilst millions of people around the world face a cost-of-living crisis perpetuated by the effects of Covid-19 and spiraling costs of essentials, such as food and energy. Hosted shortly before COP27, we will also explore key issues arising from the transition to greener economies. There will be an opportunity to hear from our 2022 Changemakers. The Changemakers programme brings together some of the most inspiring pioneers and innovators from across the globe, committed to developing concrete solutions to pressing human rights issues in alignment with Trust Conference themes. Delegates will have access to two full days of keynote speeches from world-leading experts, panel discussions on defined topics, spotlight sessions and fireside chats on innovative approaches to tackling the most critical issues facing society.
An early bird rate for tickets will be available until 12 August, and a special NGO rate is also available. Speakers Christiane Amanpour CBEChief International Anchor, Catherine AmirfarDeputy Chair of the High-Level Panel of Legal Experts on Media Freedom, &
