Help more LGBTQ young people live freely and authentically.
Hi
Friend of Trevor,
When Bowie adopted gender neutral pronouns, “the weight of the world lifted off my shoulders, because in that moment I knew I didn't have to be a she, I didn't have to be he, I could just be me.”
Bowie’s Story of Pride included further exploration of their gender identity, which led to their identifying as non-binary and transgender. And to live as their true, authentic self, they began hormone replacement therapy — a journey they describe as “magic.” Bowie continued: “I've come out of a cocoon and I am exactly who I was always meant to be.”
Bowie personally understands the power of community: “Had I not had somebody within my sphere who had the courage to share their story, I would not know my story.”
Bowie also knows that when we share our stories, “it's saying, without saying it, I see you. And I love you.” You can make sure that an LGBTQ young person in crisis is only a call, text, or chat away from hearing one of Trevor’s trained counselors say, “I see you. And I love you.” Make your loving, life-saving gift right now.
With my deepest thanks,
