From the Leadership Institute

Fellow Conservative,

I just received an urgent request from my staff on behalf of 50 young conservatives. I’ve forwarded it to you below.

My name is Morton Blackwell, president of the Leadership Institute. This organization is America’s premier training organization for conservatives.

The Leadership Institute’s flagship training program is coming up in a few days. This National Youth Leadership School provides the “bootcamp of politics” for young conservatives. Here, we help college students become the next generation of conservative leaders.

My staffer Bryan, who oversees the Leadership Institute’s campus programs, sent an urgent email to let me know the demand by students to attend this special training greatly exceeded expectations.

More than 350 dedicated conservative students have applied to attend. This would be by far my largest Youth Leadership School ever. My staff secured the faculty resources and classroom space to meet the high demand. But the rise in travel costs from inflation have exhausted the student scholarship funds.

The Leadership Institute provides scholarships to students to cover all travel and housing costs to attend this crucial training in Arlington, Virginia.

As I see it, financial burdens should never hold a young person back from learning to champion the principles that make America great. I hope you’ll agree with me on that.

The students applying for this program are some of the best and brightest young conservatives in America. They’re eager to spend their 4th of July weekend to learn to make a difference for their principles.

These young people are the future leaders of our conservative movement and our country. I don’t want to have to turn a single one of them away because they can’t afford to travel here for their training.

Here’s where you come in.

Will you make a special gift right now to make sure every young conservative who wants to can afford to attend this crucial training?

Due to inflation, the total cost for a student scholarship has risen to $1,200 for travel and housing. That’s a significant amount for any one person to give, so I’m asking many other generous conservatives besides you.

My goal today is to have 50 conservatives step up to give gifts of $25 each to cover the cost of one more student scholarship.

Will you give $25, or whatever your best gift may be, to help fund a student scholarship?

If so, please use this link to give online right away: https://secured.leadershipinstitute.org/yls-scholarship

Thank you for considering this urgent request to help young conservatives grow into the next generation of conservative leaders for America.

Cordially,

Morton C. Blackwell
President, Leadership Institute

Subject: URGENT: Do we have any more scholarships?

Morton,

I just got confirmation that we can move the National Youth Leadership School to the university auditorium. That takes care of the classroom space issues we had.

But now there’s a financial issue.

With the increase in travel costs, we’ve used up everything in the scholarship fund for students’ travel and hotel rooms. My team still have 50 more applications to process from students who want to come to the training.

Is there any room left in the budget for more student travel scholarships?

I don’t want to have to tell my team to turn students away who can’t afford to come, but there’s no other option if we can’t get more scholarship funding.

Please let me know how to proceed as soon as possible.

Respectfully,

Bryan
