Call out his corporate sponsors from BigLaw and Silicon Valley

Team —

If you still believe Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, read this:

You know about the Federalist Society — the group that hand-picked Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court, defended him in spite of multiple credible allegations of sexual assault, and hosted a comeback dinner for him in D.C. last month.

But the thing is, they aren’t just some fringe right-wing group. They’re supported and funded by major corporations (including Facebook) and huge corporate law firms like Consovoy McCarthy, Gibson Dunn, Kasowitz Benson & Torres, Kirkland & Ellis, Sullivan & Cromwell, and WilmerHale.

This is a shameful, underappreciated part of how our justice system works. BigLaw firms — the same ones that represent just about every big company in America and recruit some of the most promising young lawyers to go work there after law school — pay for access to Supreme Court justices and enable the right-wing takeover of our judiciary, that in turn benefits their corporate clients.

If that doesn’t sit right with you, team, it’s time to do something about it. Join our movement to stop Brett Kavanaugh’s rehabilitation and to take back the Court from corporate special interests.

Here’s what we’re doing with your donation: we just launched ads asking employees of the Federalist Society’s sponsors to tell the people in charge to stop sending the profits they create to a far-right special interest group. Your donation will help us keep these ads running and keep the pressure on high.

Corporate law firms have been able to make donations like this for decades without getting much pushback, enabling the rise of the judicial far-right even as they work hard to recruit progressive young people to go work for them. Especially now that this support includes propping up Brett Kavanaugh, they need to know that someone’s paying attention — that there will be consequences if they continue to fund far-right activists who are trying to take over our judiciary.

Chip in $5 today to hold corporate law firms accountable for funding the comeback tour of a man credibly accused of sexual assault.

Supreme Court justices should be accountable to the public, not corporate sponsors. Together, we won’t let these firms get away with turning their backs on survivors in order to buy access to power.

In solidarity —
