John, we were dreading this news, and I'm devastated to say it's arrived: The Supreme Court just gave the NRA exactly what it wanted, allowing dramatic increases in people who can carry concealed weapons in our communities.

If you're with me in this fight to save lives, will you rush an emergency donation to Brady right now to help power their efforts to pass gun safety legislation and end America's gun violence epidemic?

Brady has been sounding the alarm on this case for months, and with good reason. The truth is that concealed carry is proven to increase gun violence. Yet even after the horrific school shooting in Uvalde, the NRA continued to push their guns everywhere agenda in order to keep their profits high. Now, with states greatly restricted in keeping concealed guns out of public spaces, who knows where people will bring their guns: public transit, crowded sidewalks, malls, and stores… Everywhere you don't want them.

So right now, in the first 24 hours following this ruling, Brady has set a goal to raise $100,000 to fuel their work pushing for gun violence prevention laws. We're both counting on you in this critical moment. Please, will you donate $5 or more before that 24-hour deadline to save lives?

Before I was an NBA championship coach, before I was an NBA champion, I was just a young man working hard to make my dreams come true. But my whole world changed when my father was shot and killed outside his office in a senseless act of violence.

I learned then that no one is truly safe from the epidemic of gun violence — and we can only save lives if we enact common sense gun violence prevention laws, not strip them at the NRA’s will. It’s a painful reality, but the Supreme Court’s siding with the gun lobby means all of us are less safe. It pains me to say that, but we have to be honest to make change.

You can bring us closer to that change, John. Your donation today can fuel Brady's work to fight the NRA and undo the damage that was just unleashed today. But you have to give — now, in the immediate aftermath.

I wouldn't ask if I didn't trust that Brady is doing everything they possibly can to create life-saving change, so please: Will you rush an emergency response gift to help Brady keep deadly weapons off our streets and save lives from gun violence?
