Roe v. Wade is likely to be struck down any day now, and expanding our Democratic majority in Congress is all the more important. If we don’t pick up seats in the Senate, we can’t protect reproductive rights.
With the closest watched Senate race in the nation, all eyes are on Ohio this November. That’s why my team and I are working around the clock to mobilize voters in critical parts of OH-11 to ensure Democrats win Ohio’s Senate seat.
If Roe falls, reproductive rights will defer to the states, many of which already have restrictive abortion laws and are ready to ban it outright. Losing Ohio’s Senate seat to the GOP will stifle our chances of passing federal protections for reproductive rights. We can’t allow that to happen.
As a Cuyahoga County Council member and Chairwoman of the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party, Shontel Brown has spent the last decade serving the people of Ohio and building coalitions.
