Plus – Rep. Omar’s student debt letter, and a major climate victory!

Hey Indivisibles,

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has worked hard to undo many of the harms of the Trump administration. However, almost half of Americans are living in areas with unhealthy levels of air pollution and many communities don’t have access to clean water. Representatives Mike Levin and Katie Porter are leading a letter calling on the EPA to strengthen clean air and water standards. President Biden has the power to accomplish this, but we need a strong showing of support for using executive action to address pollution! Call your Representative right now to make sure they sign-on!

In case you missed last week’s update, there’s also been progress on our other issues:

In addition to swift climate action, and immediate movement on student debt, there are so many substantive issues that we need to push President Biden to use his power of executive action to bring about much needed change and improve the lives of the American people.

This is where you come in:

  1. Prescription Drug Pricing
  • Student Debt
  • Click here to demand the White House strengthen the Justice40 Initiative before it is finalized. Last year, President Biden instituted his interim Justice40 Initiative to ensure at least 40% of federal climate investments directly benefit frontline communities. As he’s looking to finalize guidelines, now is a critical time to provide feedback so that the end policies will be as impactful as possible. Talk to your friends. Talk to your family. Talk to everyone. Most importantly, tell the White House to strengthen Justice40. Environmental justice will not be just until the most impacted communities are supported. (To learn more, watch this video about Justice40.)

Chip in $10 today to make sure we can keep doing things like running call scripts, texting, e-mailing, and organizing Indivisibles across the country to fight for change.
  • People across the country are looking for relief. Let’s get to work to lock in some more wins for the American people as soon as possible.
