We're now just seven days away from end of quarter. But what is this "EOQ" and why should you care about it?

Political campaigns throw around a lot of acronyms and fundraising deadlines but this June 30th EOQ deadline is a BIG one.

For federal races like Val's, candidates report their fundraising and spending numbers quarterly (instead of on a 30-day rolling basis like state candidates here in Oregon). That means that when these reports come out, they provide a window into the last three months' worth of campaign activity and they are carefully scrutinized by all the major national players – on both our side and the Republican side.

That's why we are making a big push in this final week of the quarter to ensure that when we report our numbers, we are showing the kind of strength that I know this campaign has built from grassroots donors like you. Last week, the DCCC added our race to their Red to Blue program. Back in March, the NRCC put Alek Skarlatos on their Young Guns list. Both parties know how critical OR-04 is to the House Majority.

This race is going to come down to the wire, John. And the June 30th EOQ deadline is a critical juncture as we head into the summer and things (pun intended) really start to heat up.
