Rhode Island is a national leader. [[link removed]] Not only did my administration implement one of the best vaccine rollouts in the country, taking us from worst to first in a matter of months, we are leading the nation in economic recovery from the pandemic.
Right now, Rhode Island is ranked #2 in the country and #1 in the Northeast for recovering our economy. When was the last time Rhode Island was first out of a recession?
I recently signed bills to save lives and keep our communities safe – making Rhode Island a leader in common sense gun safety – and to legalize recreational cannabis.
Next week, we will finalize the budget, making major investments to continue growing the economy, improving our schools, supporting small businesses, and tackling the housing crisis.
Because of the work my administration has done over this past year, we have a once in a generation opportunity to set Rhode Island up for long term success – but we know this campaign is going to determine the trajectory of our state moving forward. [[link removed]]
