A new study confirms what we already knew: Medicare for All would've saved hundreds of thousands of lives during the pandemic, and the U.S. could have saved more than $100 billion in health care costs.1
Nurses know that Medicare for All isn’t just the best solution — it’s the only solution that will ensure that every patient gets the health care they need. Now a new report confirms that the number of lives lost and dollars spent during the pandemic would have been significantly lower if Medicare for All had been in place.
To put it plainly, our elected officials have failed us by not passing Medicare for All. We’re organizing to finally secure health care as a right for all people. Will you join our next Medicare for All National Strategy Call to learn more?
Medicare for All National Strategy Call
Tuesday, June 28
5:00pm PT/8:00pm ET
During the call, we’ll recap what happened with the Medicare for All bill in the Senate as a result of our collective organizing. We’ll share our plans to concentrate on key Congressional districts to push priority representatives to cosponsor Medicare for All. We’ll talk about the next steps in our fight to demand that CVS Health stop bankrolling anti-Medicare for All efforts. And we’ll be re-launching the Patients Over Profits campaign with the goal of securing as many pledges as possible from state and local officials and candidates to reject campaign donations from the corporate health care industry.
Covid-19 has laid bare our health care system’s dire need for reform. Now, we have an unprecedented opportunity to make the case for guaranteed health care in the U.S., and bring more people directly impacted by this crisis into our movement.
We’re building a movement in our communities, hospitals, and in the streets, conversation by conversation — and we need you to join us.
This is our last strategy call before the midterms — you won’t want to miss it. To learn more about our national plans to advance the fight for Medicare for All this summer, sign up to join our next strategy call on Tuesday, June 28, at 5:00pm PT/8:00pm ET.
