John,
Our democracy is at a crossroads. Our Supreme Court is intent on rolling back our civil rights, Congress has failed so far to protect our communities from gun violence – meanwhile Illinois families are struggling to afford gas and groceries.
Your vote has never mattered more. That’s why I’m urging you to make a plan to vote in the June 28 primary and to help your friends and families do the same!
This is what I want you to think about:
How are you casting your vote?
Illinois voters have the option of requesting a mail ballot [[link removed]] for any reason, but the deadline to do so is today. You can also vote early in-person at any of the early voting locations listed below, or find your polling place for Election Day on June 28.

When will you vote? *
If you are voting by mail, your ballot must be postmarked no later than June 28 and arrive at the election office within 14 days afterward.
If you are voting early in-person, please check the hours of operation at your specific location as they vary from location to location.
Polls will be open on Election Day from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
How will you get to your polling place?
Will you walk, drive, or take public transportation? Be sure to leave enough time for your chosen mode of transportation!
Who will you vote for?
I’m counting on your vote for Congress in IL-01 but be sure to look at the other offices up for election in this primary and know ahead of time who will best champion working families in our communities!
Who will you bring with you?
This is one of the most important parts of your plan to vote, John. We’re in a competitive Democratic primary and I need every vote possible in order to bring our fight to Congress. That’s why I’m asking you to forward this email to three people you can bring with you to vote. Same-day registration is available at all polling locations, including early voting locations, so please be sure to help the teens, elderly, and other disenfranchised people in your life so they can make their voices heard.
Thank you for doing your part in our democracy,
Jonathan
