At the same time, the U.S. Senate is advancing a package of gun control measures, agreed upon by a small group of Senators behind closed doors. Leora Levy, Republican Candidate for U.S. Senate in Connecticut, released the following statement regarding the Supreme Court ruling, the Second Amendment, and action by Congress. “Biden and Blumenthal are crying foul today about the Supreme Court’s ruling, clearly eager to dismiss Americans’ constitutional rights. Our Justices did their job and reinforced law-abiding Americans’ Second Amendment rights in the face of overreaching state laws.
