We launched our campaign’s first TV ad of the NY-10 Democratic Primary!
The new ad is now airing across New York’s 10th Congressional District, and I’m proud to share my story of overcoming adversity to become a progressive champion in Congress.
The script reads:
“Do I stand out in Washington? Yes. Let’s see, I’m a New Yorker. I grew up in Section 8 housing and on food stamps, raised by a single mom. I’m Black, I’m gay, and damn proud to be different.
As a member of Congress, I’ve fought to bring real change to a broken system. To make Washington work for us — not them.”
But I’ll be blunt, John. Keeping our new TV ad on air costs money. A lot of money.
As we head into these final weeks before the August 23rd primary election, it’s more important than ever that we have the resources to spread the word about our grassroots campaign.
I’m so excited about our new ad, but we need to make sure it stays on the air for weeks to come so we can reach as many voters as possible.
