The ZOA's tremendous efforts resulted in a sense of security for Jewish students across the country; they now know that if they face harassment or discrimination for being Jewish, the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights will enforce U.S. civil rights law to protect them. We hope that you value our determination and often our lone bold stance as we fight Islamic anti-Semitism in Congress, on campuses, and in communities across the U.S. When local New Yorkers took a public stand against the 90% increase in anti-Semitic attacks over the last year, I was there; as the president of the Zionist Organization of America, I was the only leader of a major Jewish organization who felt that this should be a priority.
