Friend, The Jan. 6 hearings are continuing today and I wanted to hear your thoughts about this history-making moment for our country. Friend, have you been watching the hearings? On Jan. 6, MAGA-Republicans, led by Donald Trump, stormed our Capitol in a shocking effort to overturn the results of the 2020 election. The anniversary of that day will forever be dark in our nation's history. As a conservative former judge put it: "On Jan. 6, 2021, the prescribed day for choosing the American president, there was not to be a peaceful transfer of power — for the first time in the history of our republic." Time and again, these hearings have revealed the fragility of American Democracy. They've reminded us of the importance of holding everyone (including Donald Trump) accountable for their actions. Patriotism. Heartbreak. Shock. I've felt so many different emotions during these hearings. They haven't always been easy to watch, but I feel strongly that they are critically important to the future of our nation. What do you think? Can you take my quick survey and tell me your feelings about the Jan. 6 hearings? Thank you for everything, Debbie
