John,

Social Security is one of the most successful government programs in our
nation’s history, helping to decrease the number of seniors that live in
poverty from nearly 50 percent when it was first passed to under 10
percent today.

Yet, because the wealthy do not pay their fair share, if nothing is done
to increase funding by 2035, Social Security will reach a point where full
benefits cannot be paid, leaving millions of seniors and people with
disabilities in need.

That’s why Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren have introduced
the Social Security Expansion Act, which both expands benefits paid today
by $200 a month and extends the solvency of Social Security through 2096.

with Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and DFA by showing your support for
expanding Social Security?

Right now, the annual Cost of Living Adjustments does not reflect the true
out-of-pocket costs experienced by seniors―including increases in housing,
food, and prescription drug costs.

By having the Cost of Living Adjustments reflect all of the true costs of
living, we can ensure that every person that relies on Social Security
receives all of the benefits they need.

It’s clear, that the Social Security Expansion Act will help those most in
need and allow everyone to retire with dignity.

payments to millions of Social Security recipients. Show your support for
expanding Social Security now!
