<p>This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Clean Water Act and APL is pleased to offer an&nbsp;amateur poetry contest to celebrate the conservation of our natural world in this art form.&nbsp;Contestants are asked to be inspired and celebrate conservation and clean water in the poetry form of their choice. <p>Join interns from Allied Whale, the marine mammal laboratory at College of the Atlantic, to learn about the whales of&nbsp;the Gulf of Maine.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>APL Teen Space Renovation Reveal Party &amp; ESports Workshop: July 12 at 12:30 PM</strong></p>
<p>Visit the newly renovated Teen Space at APL!&nbsp; Light refreshments provided. Immediately following, join our friends from Central Maine Community College as they teach kids 12-18 about the exciting world of Esports. Following the workshop there will be an esports mini tournament!&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Where Does Your Water Come From?&nbsp;July 20 at 3:00 PM</strong></p>
<p>Join the Lake Auburn Watershed Protection Commission to learn where your water comes from.&nbsp;This presentation will follow a drop of water through the Lake Auburn Watershed, and into the community. This event for all ages will cover the different pollutants a&nbsp;drop of water might find, different environments it might cross, and the treatment process so it can become drinkable.&nbsp;</p>
