John, I need to give you an update:
Thousands of people have risen up since the Supreme Court released its ruling, and Brady is on the way to raising their $10,000 emergency response goal — but donations are slowing down, and that simply isn't acceptable in a moment like this.
Right now, within the first 24 hours of the Supreme Court handing the NRA its dream ruling, will you rush a donation to help Brady fight back and save lives from gun violence?
I'm dedicated to fighting with Brady because I know what it's like to lose a loved one to gun violence. My daughter, Jaime, was just 14 years old when she was targeted with a military-style assault weapon. Disgustingly, she was not the last innocent child to be killed with an assault rifle, after a gunman in Uvalde, TX, killed 19 kids and two teachers. Now, after the Supreme Court’s decision, more guns on the street could mean more lives lost – like my Jaime’s.
Jaime loved to dance, but I'll never see her dance again. She had the best laugh, but I'll never hear it again. So what I will do is fight every single day to keep any more parents from feeling the loss, grief, and unending pain that I do. If we don't fight back against the Supreme Court's ruling on concealed carry, more people will die. More families will suffer the heartache I do – and after endless recent shooting tragedies in the country, it’s more important than ever.
Our country does not need more concealed weapons. It needs more people like you, rising to occasions like this, determined to make change. So please, I have to ask: Will you donate right now to help Brady hit their emergency response goal, end concealed carry nationwide, and save lives from this epidemic of gun violence?
Thank you so much,
Fred Guttenberg
