Eventually, through hard work and love for his community, Dad became head of tourism for Las Vegas and helped build the city we know today! He taught me that with hard work and respect for others, I could overcome any obstacle and accomplish anything.

So I took Dad’s lessons and dedicated my life to serving my community. I became a first generation college graduate, and worked at a construction company to pay my way through law school. Then I overcame $50 million in GOP attack ads to become the first Latina senator in American history. I only eked out a 2-point victory thanks to grassroots supporters like you, John!
