Tuesday, the Texas Senate began public hearings on the latest DPS investigations on Uvalde and other topics. The Senate believes all testimony should be in the open. The families and the public have a right to know what happened.
I joined Laura Ingraham on her program to talk about this and more. In case you missed it, click here to watch the clip.
Speaking at the Republican Party of Texas Convention
It was great to be in Houston over the weekend for the 2022 Republican Party of Texas Convention, where thousands of Texans came together with the common goal of keeping Texas one of the greatest states to live, work, and raise a family.
It’s always a great honor to speak at our state convention. On Friday, I addressed the convention delegates – some of the strongest and most committed conservative grassroots activists in the nation! At the end of my remarks thousands of us prayed together for God to heal our land. You can watch my speech here.
Life. Liberty. Texas.
There was a huge turnout of Republicans this year, making one thing clear: we WILL keep Texas red this November!
Thanks to all of those who took the time to stop by and say hello. I got to see plenty of familiar faces and meet a lot of new ones. The convention was a great success.

Here is a view looking down from the 3rd-floor porthole window of the convention area. If you look closely, you can see my booth where my 1952 Chevy Truck was front and center –
Catching Up with Virginia Lt. Governor Winsome Sears
I also had the chance to catch up with the Lt. Governor of Virginia — the incredible Winsome Sears. Thanks for dropping by my booth and for making the trip to Texas!
Meeting with the Voters at the Senate District Meetings
I visited 18 Senate District meetings over two days to thank everyone for attending and to salute our precinct chairs, who are the heart of our party infrastructure and who work hard to get the vote out.
TFRW’s Champion of Freedom Luncheon
On Friday, I had the honor of joining the Texas Federation of Republican Women – the most powerful women's political organization in Texas today – and speaking at their Champion of Freedom Luncheon honoring my good friend, Sen. Jane Nelson. It was a fantastic event.
Ice Cream Social: A Longstanding State Convention Tradition!
Following my speech was my Ice Cream Social – a tradition we've upheld at the RPT Convention for many years. It was a record-breaking year, with nearly 1,500 people RSVPing. So many people wanted to attend that we had to extend the event, hire onsite hotel staffers, and order hundreds more ice cream bars … all the day of! It turned out to be a huge success.
Fort Bend County GOP Meeting
I concluded my busy day at the Fort Bend County GOP meeting alongside Sen. Lois Kolkhorst. It was great to see everyone!
Visiting with Houston Police Officers
On my way out, I got to visit with some of the mounted patrol officers from the Houston Police Department and their very loyal horses. Texans are so grateful for their service.
The Democrats will stop at nothing to defeat me in 2022. I hope I can count on your financial support of $5-10-25 or more today.
Your support will help our campaign champion conservative ideas across Texas. Because when conservatives win, Texas wins.
Thank you all for your support and for everything you do to keep Texas red. May God bless you and your family, and may He continue to bless the greatest state of all—Texas.
Sincerely,
Dan Patrick
Lieutenant Governor of Texas
