Sixty-two nations have ratified the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW). The parties to the treaty are meeting in Vienna, Austria. Now is a moment for U.S. Congress Members to publicly support U.S. ratification. Tell them to do so here.

Fourteen Congress Members have cosponsored H.R. 2850 the Nuclear Weapons Abolition and Economic and Energy Conversion Act of 2021. This bill directs the U.S. government to sign and ratify the TPNW, and to use $1.7 trillion taxpayer dollars currently budgeted for nuclear weapons "modernization" instead to address climate change, develop carbon-free and nuclear-free energy, and provide for other pressing needs such as healthcare, education, housing, and basic infrastructure.
