The Trevor Project
Create a warm welcoming world for Amir

Hi Friend of Trevor,

We asked Amir for his definition of “Pride.”

“Pride to me, it means … being confident and bold in who you are. And I think it really starts with self acceptance … and being able to walk down the street proud and beautiful.”

Amir’s family and friends give him the love, acceptance, and affirmation that helps him “walk down the street proud and beautiful.” But many LGBTQ young people don’t have that support, and it’s on their behalf that I’m writing to you today.

Every hour of every day, The Trevor Project is only a call, text, or chat away from an LGBTQ young person in crisis. We listen to them. We tell them they are beautiful. We assure them they are not alone. To be there for them, we need you to show up, too. Please make your gift to Trevor today.

Amir is determined to create a world in which everyone is loved and accepted — a world that he envisions as an “... open, beautiful, colorful space.” And he told us that “... I'm doing every single thing that I can every day on this planet, making sure that I continue to inspire people to choose love.”

LGBTQ young people like Amir and their Stories of Pride inspire me! If you feel the same way — and I bet you do! — then make your contribution to Trevor today. Together, we’ll create the warm, welcoming world that Amir and his peers deserve.

With love and pride,
