ACF’s National Research Conference
on Early Childhood 2022
As a Cooperating Organization for the Administration for Children and Families' National Research Conference on Early Childhood (NRCEC) 2022 ([link removed]) , the Foundation for Child Development is pleased to share that the conference will be held virtually on Monday, June 27^th through Wednesday, June 29^th. NRCEC 2022 will present the latest research on early childhood programs and the young children and families they serve. NRCEC 2022 will feature numerous breakout sessions and poster sessions dedicated to various early care and education (ECE) workforce topics, including: Well-Being and Self-sufficiency; Compensation; In-service and Pre-service Professional Development; Workforce Equity; Recruitment and Retention; and Workforce Supports and Interventions.
The goals of NRCEC 2022 are to:
* identify and disseminate research relevant to young children (birth to 8 years) and their families;
* encourage collaboration among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to build the evidence base for policy and practice; and
* foster discussion of research priorities, gaps, and needs.
There is no registration fee to attend the conference.

OPENING PLENARY SESSION:
NRCEC will feature research from the Child Trends report, Mary Pauper: A Historical Exploration of Early Care and Education Compensation, Policy, and Solutions. The report, commissioned by Early Educator Investment Collaborative in 2021, maps the history of systemic racism in the U.S. and how it has influenced early childhood education policy and practice. One of the report's authors, Dr. Chrishana M. Lloyd, will participate in this opening plenary session.
