My phone’s weather app says it feels like 112° outside as I’m writing this, but it's Summer down South, so hot weather is nothing new. Tropical storms and hurricanes aren’t new either, which is why we’re supporting restoration projects that will help protect coastal Louisiana. Here’s how one project is building a natural storm buffer that will help protect the Greater New Orleans region.

As Senior Sportsman Outreach Coordinator, I help elevate the voices of Louisiana hunters and anglers who are concerned about the disappearing marshes in Sportsman’s Paradise. These folks see the problem every time they get on the water, but occasionally they see restoration projects that turn the tide just a bit. This is a big year for our Sportsman’s Paradise with the latest Coastal Master Plan coming soon and several bills in D.C. that’ll impact anglers, hunters, conservation and coastal restoration. Stay tuned!

Your Voice Matters!

Louisianians recently used the public comment process to transform a proposed federal levee from something that would cause further harm to Maurepas Swamp into an effort that will help restore the iconic wetland.
