As many of you know, if Republicans take back the Senate in November, I am in line to become Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry. This will allow me to have a key role in drafting a bill that directly impacts so many of our farmers, ranchers, and all of rural America.
The best ideas come from the ground up, and Arkansas's agriculture community offered us a great deal to work off of as we move forward with the Farm Bill process. Arkansas agriculture helps produce the safest, cheapest food supply in the world. With all the many challenges facing the industry and raising prices at the grocery store, it's more important than ever to hear their input so we can implement the most applicable policies for their operations.
