Dear John,

Every day, ALIGN works to address the root causes of economic injustice by forging strategic coalitions, shaping the public debate through strategic communications, and developing policy solutions that make an impact.

And on this Giving Tuesday, we ask our friends and supporters to make a contribution and help drive this work forward into next year and beyond.

This year, we’re celebrating major victories for our city and state, bringing us closer to being the progressive city we envision for our future:

  • Through our Climate Works for All coalition we won world-first legislation to slash emissions from large buildings – a big step forward for moving New York City toward a green energy jobs economy.

  • Our Transform Don’t Trash NYC coalition just passed legislation to transform the commercial waste industry from a race-to-the bottom industry to one that raises standards for worker justice and environmental justice.

  • And earlier this year, through the NY Renews Coalition we succeeded in passing the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act as a nation-leading model for climate action.

Our successes come from doing the deep work over time to build a longstanding alliance of labor and community groups and put together strong coalitions to advance campaigns for transformative change. With your help, we will win larger, more systemic change for our communities and for workers across our city.

Please show your support this #GivingTuesday by giving $10, $100, or more to help build a just, sustainable economy in New York City.

Help us spread the word and let everyone you know that today is the day to give to ALIGN: Like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.

Thank you for your support, and happy holidays from the ALIGN family to yours!

In solidarity,

Maritza Silva-Farrell
