Dear Friend, Last week, it was revealed that 48 members of Congress sent a letter to the powerful Appropriations Committee's Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies requesting that the federal government protect state-level legalization laws. These members wanted this provision to be included in the new Justice Department funding bill. Make no mistake: this was an industry-led blitz that would have effectively legalized marijuana at the federal level.
