Dissent is patriotic. And that’s the tea. ☕️

John--

Today is the fourth of July and we’re remembering that dissent is patriotic. This year feels especially important to reflect on the promise of our country, despite having a long way to go to reach it. As Harvey Milk famously said, we cannot live on hope alone, but without it, life is not worth living.

It is hope that drives us, hope for a better tomorrow for our families, friends, and loved ones. Let’s be clear, all of our futures are on the line in 2020. Last week, we asked you to tell us which issues matter the most to you during this election season. Thousands of you answered.

Trump is doing whatever it takes to mobilize his base for 2020. We cannot afford to lose again. Are you ready to do whatever it takes to win in 2020? Can you give $4.00 on the 4th of July to demonstrate the power of women who oppose Trump?

You’re asking candidates to prioritize reproductive justice. We’ve outlined concrete steps on how to get there in our Women’s Agenda. You want climate justice. Women’s March supports the ongoing youth-led climate strikes. You want justice for immigrants and asylum-seekers who are being detained in concentration camps on the border. Women’s March organized an historic direct action a year ago this month when Trump separated thousands of families. Women’s March is with you every step of the way on the issues that matter to women, femmes, and allies. Our Women’s Agenda is a roadmap to the future we are driving towards in 2020.

Are you all in to help fund the work needed to fight Trump in 2020? Become a member on July 4, 2019 by giving $4.00 monthly to fund the fight to evict Trump from the Oval Office.

With every new day, Trump’s attacks on the most marginalized among us increase. Children are being caged at the border. Trans people are still fighting for basic human rights. For the first time in many years, our air and water quality has declined.

This July 4th is about us, the people, not about a parade of tanks down Pennsylvania Avenue. Trump has led us down the wrong path. On this July 4th, 2019, pitch in $4.00 to help us win in 2020. We can’t afford to sit this one out. We’re counting on you.
