We’re coming up on the end of the quarter. When it ends, our fundraising totals will be made public, and pundits, Republicans, and everyone else will see just how strong – or weak – our campaign is.

I won’t sugarcoat it: our campaign’s fundraising is falling behind, and we’re having serious talks about where to trim and what campaign programs to cut if we don’t make up ground.

That’s why I’m setting a one-day goal of $50,000 to close the gap.

I’m coming to you first because you’re one of my campaign’s best supporters, and I hope that I can count on you. If you’re able, please donate $3 or more to help us make up ground and keep our campaign on track.

I’ll put this in real terms: I only won my last race by 1,017 votes. That means it’s not hyperbole to say that missing one fundraising goal could cost us this election (and the Senate majority).
