I lead the IRC’s work in crisis zones and every day, I see how we’re making an impact across 40 countries. I see the dedication of our teams on the ground and the resilience of the women, men and young children we support.
I also see the real need of so many families as conflicts continue in Yemen, Syria and other crises globally. On Giving Tuesday, you can help us reach families around the world. Give before midnight tonight and your gift will be matched.
Right now, Yemen is teetering on famine and still reeling from a devastating cholera outbreak. Less than 45 percent of health clinics are in operation and violence towards women has dramatically risen since the start of the war.
In Syria, the recent military offensive in the northeast caused massive displacement—200,000 people fled their homes, including 80,000 children. The situation remains highly unstable, with families staying in collective shelters and in desperate need of food, clean drinking water and health care.
There is a disregard for civilians in these crisis areas and others where we work. And that is why our programs are so critical. It’s up to us to be there to help families caught in war zones—but we can’t do it alone. We need you now, more than ever.
Donate before midnight tonight to help us provide health care, emergency supplies, clean water and other vital aid to even more families in need around the world. Your gift will not only help people survive, it will help them recover and rebuild their lives.
Thank you so much for your support on Giving Tuesday.
My very best,
