A.G. Holder is right, John – “the Supreme Court was broken long before the leak” of Justice Alito's draft majority opinion to overturn Roe v. Wade.

But with that being said, where do we go from here? The way we see it, there are two options:

Option 1

We give up. We assume that with the Supreme Court under the control of a far-right majority, nothing we do will be effective. The GOP immediately takes advantage of our lack of fight and are able to hang on to their gerrymandered maps, reelect map manipulators, and elect judges who they believe will rubber stamp gerrymandered maps. Our democracy is weakened even further.

Option 2

We keep fighting for our democracy – no matter what the obstacles. The NDRC keeps working with our affiliates in courts, in the states, and at the ballot box to protect the right to vote and to have every vote count equally. We build on our wins to make redistricting even more fair, now and in the future. We return the power to the people, where it should be, and take it away from extremist politicians.

John, what happens to our country depends on what option you choose. We know you're a fighter – so will you make a donation to the NDRC to show that you're still with us in our fight to protect democracy and the freedom to vote, no matter what SCOTUS does?
