Hi John, John Hickenlooper here! In a moment, I’m going to ask you to split a donation between Dr. Yadira Caraveo’s campaign for Congress and our work to support Colorado Democrats and defend the Senate majority. But first, I hope you will give me a minute or two to explain why your support is so important, especially right now.
From her work as a pediatrician to serving her community in the state legislature, Dr. Caraveo has a long record of fighting for Colorado families.
As a state representative, she got things done for the people of Colorado — passing legislation to lower prescription drug prices, limit toxic pollution, expand preschool funding, ensure paid family and sick leave, and protect renters from eviction during the pandemic.
Now, she’s running for Congress to build on that work and continue fighting for Coloradans in Washington — and if elected, Dr. Caraveo would be the first Latina to represent Colorado in Congress.
We need her voice in Washington, but the fight ahead won’t be easy. Dr. Caraveo is running in one of the most competitive Congressional races in the nation, and national Republicans have already committed to pouring millions of dollars into this race to defeat her.
Now, I know Coloradans are no stranger to a tough fight — our incredible grassroots team helped me overcome tens of millions of dollars in right-wing attacks to flip this Senate seat blue in 2020. But national Republicans have made it clear they’ll do whatever it takes to reclaim power in Washington, so it’s going to take all of us working together to make history and send Dr. Caraveo to Congress. That’s why I’m asking:
Will you split a contribution between Yadira Caraveo’s historic campaign and our work to defend the Senate majority? Thanks in advance for anything you can spare.
Dr. Caraveo is exactly the kind of leader we need in Washington, and I look forward to fighting alongside her in Congress.
