I want to lay out the state of play going into 2020.

Since 2016, Democrats have broken Republican trifectas in five states. This has already made a big impact on who will draw and sign the maps in 2021, and the NDRC is really proud of the part we've played in making this happen.

But the work we have left is immense. Republicans still have full control of redistricting in five targeted states that combined have 106 (nearly one in four!) U.S. House districts. Those states are:

TX, NC, GA, FL, OH

These states are big, and they'll be key players in the 2020 presidential election. But here's the thing -- all we need to do is flip one chamber in each state and Democrats will have a seat at the table for redistricting.

This is how close we are, friend:

Flipping just six seats in the North Carolina House would give Democrats the majority!
Flipping just nine seats in the Texas House would give Democrats the majority!
Flipping just four seats in the Florida Senate would give Democrats the majority!

We've gotten to this point thanks to supporters like you, friend. 2020 is now our chance to cross the finish line, give Democrats a say in the redistricting process, and achieve fair state legislative and congressional maps in these five states!
